As our first #MyHouseology collaboration comes to an end, we couldn’t help but feel a little nostalgic over our favourite project to date. From Julia’s humble oasis in the Algarve, some of the Houseology team basked in the sun and worked up a sweat styling Julia’s outdoor space with a whole host of designs from Houseology.com. From teak wood tables, bamboo benches and woven seating, Julia’s outdoor space has never looked so good…
With an abundance of sunshine and warmth, Julia has a lot more freedom to create a true outdoor oasis. The terracotta tiles give the space more of an earthy aesthetic and work perfectly Julia’s mismatched bohemian style.
Growing up, Julia lived in a number of different homes and feels that her love of interiors and styling is influenced by her mum, who always wanted to create beautiful living spaces.
“I’ve gone for quite a relaxed, bohemian feel for the Portugal house and when Houseology came on board, it was more of an opportunity to mix in some exciting style pieces. I chose some strong black chairs that I thought would look really nice against the terracotta tiles.” Julia Rebaudo, Stylonylon
“One of my favourite designers on the Houseology website is Lene Bjerre. Some of the pieces that really stood out to me on the Houseology site were some of the beach inspired designs. There’s quite a lot of sun loungers that would look great on a beach and I quite like that beach holiday vibe.” Julia Rebaudo, Stylonylon
“One of the things that dictates where we set up areas to sit in the garden, is the sun and the shade. The sun travels over the house, so we know where we want to sit at different times of the day, and where’s best to watch the sun go down.” Julia Rebaudo, Stylonylon
“Working with Julia on our very first #MyHouseology collaboration has been such a pleasure. She has an incredible eye for designing and a really unique way of styling that makes you look at the items she has chosen in a different way. The team at Houseology HQ are really looking forward to sharing more inspirational interiors with our audience in the future. Watch this space!” Esther Cain, PR Manager at Houseology.
