Italian furniture design style

Italy is famed all over the world for stylish furniture and the Ethimo collection exudes an understated, natural elegance from every piece in the collection. We love the contemporary nature of the designs and the fact that they are rooted in traditional materials and manufacturing techniques. Inspired by the Mediterranean and beautiful countryside of Tuscany, Ethimo offers a stunning range of Italian garden furniture with an effortless laid-back style that is so versatile.

The Ethimo ethos

We love that Ethimo’s products are created with the aim of enhancing your experience of your outdoor space, with an ethos of, “enjoying open-air life, permeated with wellbeing, beauty and sophisticated simplicity” – who doesn’t want a bit of that?! What’s really great is that this philosophy is infused throughout the collection and you can see it in each piece of Italian outdoor furniture, whether metal or timber, their effortless but refined look and feel is always captured.

Pickled teak garden furniture

The materials used in the Ethimo collection are beautiful and there is an extensive range to pick from. The collections combine both timber and metal frames with beautiful, durable textiles in a fabulous range of colours and textures such as the unique silvery grey patina of the pickled teak that is used in the frame of a number of the designs.

Statement outdoor living style

We love statement pieces both in interior and exterior design and, while a number of the Ethimo pieces offer effortlessly chic understated style, there are some stunning standout designs that can instantly transform a garden too. The Swing collection is perfect for creating a striking focal point and the Porch Swing is a classic of the future. Combining traditional teak with modern aluminium and luxurious upholstery, the Swing collection feels contemporary while also celebrating the natural beauty of the timber in a design balance that is not easy to strike.

A little bistro set for two is the perfect outdoor dining solution for patio areas while the fabulous Elisir Dining Set easily seats 10 in larger garden spaces.

Ethimo Knit collection

“The Knit collection is another favourite. It’s a gorgeous and unusual collection, designed with a nod to Mid Century styling that showcases Ethimo’s desire to reinterpret and reimagine traditional Italian garden furniture designs in a contemporary way. I particularly love the combination of the shapes of the seating, with the rich charcoal weave of the fabric, and the complementary shades of the warm teak frames and tables. “Fresh yet familiar,” is the overarching theme of much of the Ethimo collection and this is particularly true of the Knit range.
