Throughout February, we’ve been celebrating some of the best interior design talent the UK has to offer. In the first edition of our Brit List A-Z, we’ll be exploring some of our favourite British designers, from the timelessly British Andrew Martin to kaleidoscopic creations by Iona Crawford. But what makes British interior design so different from the rest? Well, an eclectic fusion of influence, innovation and imagination creates an aesthetic that is uniquely British and timelessly stylish. An independent design studio based in Glasgow, Graven is owned and run by designers. Founded over 30 years ago, Graven works with countless global brands and ambitious start-ups. With a variety of traditional design skills, the team at Graven also embrace state-of-the-art immersive 3D visualisation to create their iconic British designs. With an incredibly talented design team, Graven aims to ensure all projects are delivered to the highest degree, which also includes the creation of bespoke furnishings, textiles and floor & wall coverings. Created exclusively for Houseology, the “British Heirlooms” collection has been a joint creative venture between Graven Founder Janice Kirkpatrick and graphic designer Bruce Maggs, resulting in an eclectic range of luxury cushions inspired by British heritage and regional symbolism.
